I'm all for Human Rights, the right to be treated with mercy, care and courtesy even for the greatest of atrocities committed.
Hitler would've been slapped on the wrist, sent away to prison for the rest of his life, or given a painless death.
Osama Bin Laden, providing he was able to be captured without incident, would've had the same.
Gaddafi? Same thing.
I'm all for the whole idea of Human Rights, but don't you think that if a group of people go in to a school, shoot it up for NO REASON at all, they shouldn't have some sort of painful punishment for them to regret their choices prior to their deaths?
As much as I hate the barbarism and backwards traditions of the middle eastern countries (some, not all,) I do believe that stoning to death is a great way to punish someone for a crime. Not for adultery, but for gang leaders, tyrants, dictators, etc. Giving a painless death to someone that caused an indescribable, unfathomable amount of pain to hundreds if not thousands of families is just not right. It's not right for the families of those that person wronged. It's not enough to say: "We're going to kill you via a painless method." The purpose behind punishment is to scare or ward others off of committing crimes. Fear of death is nothing when you can just hide behind your own mind to ward off the very idea that it is happening. Fear of a minute of brutalizing pain will make that minute feel like an eternity. It's like a really painful dump, it lasts fucking forever and you wish for it to stop and you regret that Indian food you ate.
Again, Human Rights is alright if the person doesn't deserve the punishment. However, you would agree that if Hitler was captured, and you could choose a method of punishment, you would choose one that would equal the pain and suffering that he gave those millions of people, right? Right?
Right?
I feel the same towards jackasses that go ahead and murder innocent people for no reason, at all, gang related, dictator related, tyranical, etc.. Fuck Human Rights when these people don't believe in the same beliefs. Wastes of human life like mass murderers and the like don't deserve their spot in life, and thus deserve what they give to us in return.
