Music requires instruments to play, modern music uses electronic equipment, not musical instruments. One could argue that computers can be considered an instrument, but you wouldn't call a computer a map, would you?
Comparing The Beatles to Justin Bieber is like comparing Cheese to Sour Creme. Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, etc. are not musicians. Definitions change, but modern music is not music, nor an art. It's singing, if that. Borderline singing. I wouldn't call a bunch of cats screaming singing, but some people do.
